Diet

Okay ladies,

The old phrase ‘you are what you eat. ‘ SO TRUE! I am a small meal eater. I will have breakfast or a protein shake. Lunch, nothing too heavy. Sandwich, salad, soup. Dinner, mostly protein with a salad. I drink a tonne of water. I next to never drink carbonated drinks. They are just NOT good for you. Anything that you can drop a nail into and will dissolve the nail (proven scientifically) clearly should not be allowed anywhere near or inside of your body! Whole wheat grains, lots of fruits and veggies, fish and the occasional glass of red wine are all great starting places.

Whole-pasta provides an entire day’s worth of whole grains; its fiber fights heart colon cancer, diabetes, ulcers and stroke. Plus it has more vitamin E, B6, magnesium, zinc and potassium than regular pasta.

Blood clots cause most heart attacks and strokes, and the flavonoids in onions help stop clots from forming. Cooked tomatoes are the richest source of lycopene, a compound that may help prevent heart disease and reduce prostate cancer risks.

One serving of fish a week can halve your risk of a sudden fatal heart attack. And salmon has more heart-protecting omega-3 fatty acids than almost any other fish. A 3-ounce serving contains 10 times the dietary intake of the average American.

A glass (or, at most, two) of red wine a day will supply blood-clot-stopping flavonoids to your meal. Be careful not to get dehydrated! Drink a glass of water for every glass of wine.

hello Ladies….20060522_203_350x263

WAXING! Very, very important. Facial hair on a woman is sooo not attractive. As we get older our facial hair seems to get more active! I know! It pisses me off too. Mother nature has a strange sense of humour doesn’t she!

So always keep upper lips waxed.

Eyebrows NEED to be groomed and neat. A bushy brow ages you and looks awful. Any growth you may have between your brows GET RID OF IT! Pluck diligently but be careful not to over pluck. It might be best if you are new to brow maintenance to have your brows done professionally first, then you can tweeze as the new growth rears its ugly head.

I am personally not a leg waxer. I prefer to shave my legs. However, there are some good drug store waxes. The spa is also a good place to go for waxing.

Bikini waxing and shaving are ESSENTIAL. Again I am a shaver mostly because I am big chicken about having my bikini area waxed. I am told the more you wax that area the easier and less painful it becomes. If anyone has any stories or helpful hints let me know!

Remember to be flashy not trashy!
